To create a New Presentation from
Scratch navigate to the PowerPoint application and open it. Start
> Programs > Microsoft PowerPoint.

When PowerPoint opens a blank
document should appear on your screen. However, if you wish to
create a different presentation, click on the Blank
Presentation link.

When you click on the Blank Presentation
link,
the Slide Layout screen will open. Choose the type of
layout you desire by clicking it once.
If you wish to
apply the layout to a new slide, click on the arrow beside the
layout image, and choose Insert New Slide.

The new presentation will look
something like this:

 |
The gray box that appears on the slide
is known as your Text Box. To type within it, click
inside the box to set the cursor and begin typing.

 |
To increase the size of the box, click
on one of the little squares and drag.
|
|
 |

To add a new slide to your presentation
click on the New Slide button.

As you add slides to your presentation they
will be indexed as thumbnails when the slide tab is chosen in the column on the left.
