Adding Text Boxes to slides

Text boxes added to a slide cannot be edited using the Outline tab. You can type the text directly on the slide in normal view. Text boxes are usually added to draw a label, or emphasize a word using borders, fill or 3-d effect.

Click on the Text Box button on the Drawing toolbar.

Draw a text box of the approximate size you want, and type in your text.
The text in the text box can be formatted by using the usual Microsoft Office commands. Highlight the text, and use Alignment and Font commands from the Format menu.

You can resize the text box using the sizing handle.

The text box can be rotated by dragging the green rotation handle.
